Original US WWII M1 Fixed Bale Helmet Shell With Westinghouse Liner- HELMET SHELL
It does retain a small amount of Original OD Green paint on helmet shell with fine cork textured finish. There is a lot of rust throughout the outside of the helmet. The inside of the helmet shell doesn't have any rust, but it does have someone's name written inside and some other pen marks.
The web chinstrap is still intact. It's dirty.
LINER
Westinghouse Marked Helmet Liner might have been reissued for the Korean War with hand brushed dark green paint. The USMC Eagle, Globe & Anchor painted on the fron. Excellent condition aside from some marks/rubs. Webbing inside the liner has some stains and discoloration and is damaged in one spot -- appears to have a repair on the webbing that holds the neckband. All is still intact.
Neckband is attached.
Sweatband is intact and in good condition.
There is a small remnant of the original leather chinstrap and the garter studs and hooks are intact.
