Description

Original Third Reich Early NSKK Dagger By Gebruder Heller- This original Third Reich Early NSKK Dagger manufactured by Gebruder Heller, which is a slightly rare desirable maker. The wooden grip presents itself in remarkable condition, boasting rich brown tones that speak to its enduring quality. Adorning the grip is the iconic grip eagle, accompanied by the SA roundel. The eagle has detailed features such as wing feathering, wreath, and swastika still discernible, but worn over time. The seamless integration of the grip with the solid nickel crossguards, displaying a gentle patina. Notably, the lower reversed crossguard bears the mark "Fr" indicative of its association with the Franken Gau District.

Etched with the SA motto "Alles für Deutschland" (All for Germany), the blade retains a significant amount of detailing, with a good amount of dark etching still visible. The reverse of the blade proudly bears the maker's mark "
Gebruder Heller Schmalkalden," with substantial dark etching still intact. The blade itself retains a very good amount of cross graining on both sides with typical minor surface scratches and runner marks. The blade shoulders align flawlessly with the contours of the crossguard.

The scabbard, characterized by its straight form, maintains commendable condition with its black painted finish. Some of the paint on the scabbards sides have been worn off and has some small scratches and scrapes throughout. Remarkably free from dings or dents, the surface does exhibit slight surface rust. The fittings, crafted from solid nickel silver, harmonize seamlessly with the crossguards' patina. Though a very minor dents are on thelower drag. The original screws securely anchor the mounts, but someone has tried to remove them. Overall this Early NSKK dagger is in very good to excellent
condition.
