Description

Original German WWII Heer Steel Buckle by Berg & Nolte with Leather Combat Belt (Size 102)- The leather belt is faintly maker marked, dated 1940. It is very faintly size marked and believe it is a size 100cm. Despite being used, it remains in remarkably in very good condition with one area cut or shrunk on the edge of the belt. The leather tab on the inside has been removed and resewn most likely because the German soldier lost weight. A very common thing to German combat belts. The catch on the belt is aluminum and marked "L&F". The steel Heer belt buckle is missing majority of its original factory field-gray paint and has a good amount of surface rust. Still retains a good amount of detail on the front of the buckle. This buckle is identifiable by the leather tab maker marked Berg & Nolte A.G. from Lüdenscheid and dated 1942. The back of the buckle still retains about 75% of the original factory paint and marked maker's mark "B&N 42". The catch has been pulled slightly away, but is still solid. While showing signs of heavy use, it is still in very good condition
