Original Third Reich Woman’s Labor Corps Division (RADwJ) Photo Album- The RADwJ was the "Weiblichen Jugend", the women's youth section of the RAD (Reichsarbeitdienst) - National Labor Service. Girls entered the RAD from the BDM (Bund Deutscher Madel) and after completing a 6-month service they were released. Some of their tasks included being workers as agricultural labor force, and service in hospitals and schools. This labor service was a necessary function to the National Socialist system. It helped to create and build great patriotism and morale for young girls.
This photo album has 79 photos and 2 photos appear to have been removed. There are a total of 20 photo/card stock pages (8 are empty) and 4 pages meant for personal writing and or notes (no written notes). The front cover is nicely embossed. The album measures approximately 10" x 7.5". The cover shows age and has some minor stains. Overall it is in very good condition.
