Majority of Original OD Green paint on helmet shell with cork textured finish and minor rust spots. The helmet shell appears to have had some post WWII paint applied -- not 100% sure. Inside the helmet is the name Joe Grimes painted twice.

Leather chinstrap is intact, but is dry and cracked
Original WWII Leather Sweat Headband missing
Snaps on the neckband are rusty on both sides.
The name Joe Grimes stamped on inside of the liner.
Original WWII Fixed Neckband Strap is intact, size Unknown, ink stamp marking is very faded; Snaps on the neckband are rusty on both sides. Only one part of the fixed webbing is slightly torn in 2 spots, other than that the remaining shows age and wear.
Original WWII Marine Corps Camouflage Type II Helmet Cover. Is faded and shows heavy use along with some tears and holes. EGA is stamped on both the spring/summer and fall/winter sides. Joe Grimes name is stamped on the fall/winter side. Small holes and some stains throughout.
