Original Waffen SS M40 Single Decal Helmet Ex-White Washed Q66- An original Waffen SS M40 helmet that has a lot of character. It retains about 80% of the it's dark fieldgray texture finish. There are two rust spots due to age and most likely poor storage? It was once white washed and there traces of it around the vent holes and split pins. The SS decal is a Quist and is about 75% plus still there. The liner is complete, but a little dry and could use some conditioner. The chinstrap is original to the helmet and is very dry and cracking. Retains most of the original factory paint on the inside. Waffen SS Helmets are very hard to find and always reproduced because of the prices they demand. A text book example of a Quist single decal SS Helmet. In Very good condition.
