Original U.S. WWI M1916 .45 Colt 1911 Holster By Sears Dated 1917-
The M1916 leather holster was designed for the M1911 pistol, which was adopted by the U.S. military in 1911. It is commonly worn on the M1936 pistol belt.
This original holster is made of brown leather and remains in very good condition. The holster has a flap cover with a brass snap closure that is intact. The back of the holster includes a metal hook for attaching to a pistol belt, along with belt loops for secure carry. One washer is missing from the back of the holster. There is some slight corrosion on the hardware that could easily be cleaned. The front flap is embossed "U.S." and the back is embossed "SEARS 1917 JNS". Aside from the missing rivet, the holster remains in very good to excellent condition.
