Original US WWII & Korean War 4th Army Ike Jackets (Size 38S & 42S)- Both Ike jackets belong to the one US soldier.
WWII Jacket:
This wool Ike jacket is a size 38S and has maintained excellent overall condition, with little to no flaws. There are several ink stamps inside showing "F-3277". Size tag clearly shows 38S. There are rank stripes on both sleeves along with a 4th Army patch on the left. On the right collar lapel there is a U.S. collar disk and on the left there is a Army Engineer collar disk. Some personal items were found in a inside pocket and left inside most likely when he returned back from wartime service (greyhound bus ticket, movie stub, chewing gum, last name tags "Fortner", clothing receipt, and Army Certificate of Service ID).
Post WWII/Korean War Jacket:
This wool Ike jacket is a size 42S and has maintained excellent overall condition, with little to no moth holes. There are several ink stamps inside the jacket "F-3277". Size tag clearly shows 42S. There are rank stripes on both sleeves along with a 4th Army patch on the left. It appears there are mud-like stains on the front and some on the inside -- possibly could be cleaned.
These pieces are an excellent example of wartime attire, with distinct patches and emblems reflecting its history.
