Original US WWII/Korean War M1C Swivel Bale Helmet With Westinghouse Paratrooper Liner- HELMET SHELL
It does appear to have factory OD Green paint on helmet shell with fine cork textured finish, but has been repainted Post War for the Korean War.
The web chinstrap is still intact. Has the parachutist web chinstrap with female snap fastener.
LINER
Original WWII Westinghouse marked helmet liner has not been repainted and retains the original WWII factory paint. Excellent condition aside from some marks/rubs and very minor rust around some faster heads.
The parachutist OD Green cotton inverted "A" strap with buckle is in tact on both sides of the liner, but one buckle is missing a prong- with the 8 hole web chin strap.
Neckband is broken and could be replaced.
The fixed webbing is complete, but detached/ripped on both sides of the front A washer. See pic for details. A washers are rusty. Good condition.
Sweatband is complete, but leather is slightly dry and cracked. Good condition.
