Description

Original Third Reich SA Early Dagger by E. Pack & Sohne- The wooden grip showcases a remarkable condition with rich tones and wood grains. Adorning it is the emblematic high-necked grip eagle accompanied by an SA roundel. While the detailing on the eagle, including the wing feathering, wreath, and swastika, remains discernible, there are signs of wear and use with its age. Notably, the grip integrates into the crossguards, but with a small gap on one side of the bottom crossguard. Both crossguards are constructed from solid nickel showing patina, but looks like someone tried to clean them and it does not detract them. The lower reversed crossguard bears the mark "Nrh" denoting its association with the Niederrhein Gau District.

Etched with the SA motto "Alles für Deutschland" (All for Germany), the blade retains traces of its original sharp detailing, but with the dark etching worn away. Some gray veining throughout the both sides of the blade.
The reverse of the blade proudly bears the maker's mark "E. Pack & Sohne Solingen," with most of the dark etching gone. The blade shoulders align seamlessly with the contours of the crossguard.

The scabbard, characterized by its straight form, remains in commendable condition. Anodized in brown, but it exhibits a good amount of surface rust peeking through. The scabbard's fittings, fashioned from solid nickel silver, bear a harmonious patina matching that of the crossguards. Three small dents at the ball,
the original screws securely anchor the mounts, appearing untouched. Overall, this Early SA Dagger has historical significance and craftsmanship, offering a glimpse into its Third Reich history.
