Description

Original Early Third Reich Early SA Dagger By F. Dick- The wooden grip showcases a remarkable condition with rich reddish/brown tones and wood grains. Adorning it is the emblematic high-necked grip eagle accompanied by an SA roundel, which both have very minor corrosion . While the detailing on the eagle, including the wing feathering, wreath, and swastika, remains discernible, there are signs of wear and use with its age. Notably, the grip seamlessly integrates with the crossguards, both of which are constructed from solid nickel, displaying a gentle patina throughout and does has a thin layer of lacquered finish on it, which is mostly worn off. The lower reversed crossguard bears the mark "Sw" denoting its association with the Sudwest Gau District.

Etched with the SA motto "Alles für Deutschland" (All for Germany), the blade retains a significant amount of detailing and still retains a small amount of dark etching in the motto. The reverse of the blade proudly bears the maker's mark "F. Dick" with some dark etching still intact. The blade itself retains a very good amount of cross graining on both sides with typical minor surface scratches and runner marks. The blade shoulders align flawlessly with the contours of the crossguard.

The scabbard, characterized by its straight form, remains in commendable condition. Anodized in brown, it exhibits some good amount of wear and scratches. The scabbard's fittings, fashioned from solid nickel silver, bear a harmonious patina matching that of the crossguards. The ball at the end of the lower drag does not have any dents, the original screws firmly secure the mounts. An original early SA brown leather dagger hanger with hardware attached to the O ring. Leather is still supple. Overall, this Early SA Dagger has historical significance and craftsmanship, offering a glimpse into its Third Reich history is in excellent condition.
