Original Third Reich Allgemeine SS No Decal Model 1918 Helmet- According to SS Steel website "These were made under contract by the SS with a firm outside the Reich, most likely in Brunn, Czechoslovakia". The steel was not as strong as a combat helmet as you can see a dent. Most of these were put into storage or reissued to the Luftschutz after the M35 Model helmet was transitioned into the SS. This one has the “duck bill” visor and for a size 66 helmet shell it has size 64 style vent hole. Chinstrap is missing. One of the padding pockets the thread has come apart. All of the pads are there. Nice piece of early Allgemeine SS history.
