OriginalGerman WWII Panzer/Armored Vehicle Model “B” Headphones With Throat Mics- Model"b" radio headset for use in armored vehicles. Headset has two blackbakelite earphones with metal alloy backing plates, which are covered with original rubber pads. The rubber ear pads are supple, but do have some cracking at the bottom of each. The earphones are connected by a leathercovered magnetic sheet metal head band. Head band is attached to the earphonesby an extended swivel rocker panel allowing for fit adjustment, which does have some minor rust. Exterior of theearphone backing plates each have impressed designation, "Dfh.b", forDoppelfernhörer, (Double Telephone Receiver), model "b".Each earphone has a fabric covered connectionwire fitted to their bottom edge, which has a three prong plug. The throat (larynx) microphone set as mostcommonly used in armored vehicles and field radios. marked with an embossed,designation abbreviation in an oval recess, "(Fu) b", indicating,Funk, (Radio), model "b".
