Evidence of its prior insignia remains faint, with the 2nd model Luftwaffe Decal and Tri-Color shield barely discernible beneath the fresh coat of paint. Intriguingly, the helmet bears marks of something spilled on it, likely during storage in a garage or basement post-war, with traces extending to the interior.
Equipped with an aluminum-reinforced liner dated 1940 and sized 57, likely a reissued replacement, this artifact exudes authenticity. The leather liner, complete and soft, includes the original drawstring, offering a tangible connection to its wartime service.
