Original Japanese WWII Very Late War Model 30 Arisaka Rifle Bayonet Straight Cross Guard With Wooden Scabbard

This is a rare and authentic late-war Model 30 Arisaka bayonet featuring a straight cross guard and paired with its original lightweight wooden scabbard.

• Blade: The 40cm blade retains its original factory blued finish, showing only minor wear consistent with age. It is marked at the ricasso and features a serial number at the top of the hilt. The blade was not fully factory-polished, likely as a cost-saving measure or to expedite delivery to the military. It is sharpened approximately three-quarters of the way down.
• Handle and Cross Guard: The handle and cross guard exhibit minor wear to the bluing but remain in excellent overall condition. The wooden grips show light wear and aging but are solid and in very good to excellent condition.
• Scabbard: The bayonet is accompanied by its original wooden scabbard, a lightweight late-war design. It features two areas wrapped with string for reinforcement and a metal tip. The scabbard was originally painted in an olive drab brown, but most of the paint has worn off, revealing the wood grain underneath.
• Condition: Both the bayonet and scabbard are in excellent condition for a very late-war production item. They appear to be a matching set, making this an exceptional piece for collectors of WWII Japanese militaria.
