Original Imperial Japanese Order of the Rising Sun 8th Class Silver Medal With Box-
This is the first medal established in Japan (enacted in Meiji era). It was given to men who made distinguished service to the nation or public. The medal appears to be tarnished. The reverse side of the medal is inscribed. The ribbon has some discoloration. The hook device on the back of the ribbon is intact. The top half of the box is missing. Overall still in very good condition.
