Original German WWI Refurbished Camouflaged M16 Helmet Size 64Shell- The colors are very similar to camouflage painted WWI US helmets. It is most likely A.E.F. Occupation Duty into the 1920's and brought back to the USA. The helmet shows some slight rust pitting throuhout the helmet. Comes with thecorrect 3 padded leather liner, which was most likely put in recent years. The split pins are original to the helmet, but have WWII type washers, which is incorrect. No leather chinstrap. The liner can fit either asize 56 or 57. Interesting piece that was most likely painted during or right after the war.
