Original Third Reich Heer Artillery Musician’s Swallow’s Nests with Fringe (Pair)-
This is a pair of original Heer red Artillery Musician’s "Swallow’s Nests" complete with silver metal fringe. Both pieces feature a protective feldgrau cotton backing securely stitched in place that have some staining. Each "swallow’s nest" originally had five attachment hooks: one retains all five hooks, while the other has only two intact, with two broken and one missing. There is minor moth damage to the red wool in between the tresse on each piece and light age-related toning throughout, consistent with use and storage.
Despite these imperfections, the pair remains in overall very good condition, displaying great character and authenticity. Sold as a pair.
