Original German WWII K98 Bayonet – Non-Matching, Dated 1941 with Rare 1945 Brown Leather Frog
This WWII-era K98 bayonet features a dark brown bakelite grip in excellent condition. The blade is marked "41clc" near the grip, with "297c" on the reverse, while the scabbard is stamped "4855."
Accompanying this bayonet is a rare, late-war natural brown leather frog dated 1945. This frog, in superb condition, displays a rich patina from age and careful storage. On the reverse, there is a partial manufacturer's marking, dating to a time when the RB numbering (Reichsbetriebsnummer) code system was typically assigned to manufacturers. This suggests it was likely produced by a smaller manufacturer supplying the Wehrmacht near the war’s end.
Both the scabbard and blade show light aging yet remain in very good condition, making this set a remarkable collector's item.
