This original German WWII beer stein from the 3rd Battery, Artillery Regiment 33 (3./A.R.33), dated 1936/37, is a fine example of military commemorative pottery. Titled "Königin Aller Waffen" ("Queen of All Weapons"), the stein celebrates artillery, known for its power and importance in military campaigns.
The stein is made of sturdy pottery and remains in solid condition, with vibrant, colorful imagery that wraps around half of its surface. The scene depicted shows a six-horse-drawn wagon towing a howitzer down a hill, with an officer riding beside it. In the background, another howitzer is firing while an airplane flies overhead, showcasing the might of combined arms warfare.
Names of soldiers from the unit are listed on both sides of the central image, with the name of the soldier to whom the stein was dedicated featured prominently at the top. The stein also comes with a lid and is in excellent overall condition, free from any chips, cracks, or repairs, making it a highly desirable collectible for military history enthusiasts.
