Original German WWII Italian Russian Front Honor Badge -- This badge was awarded to Italian troops that served on the Eastern front between June 22, 1941 and June 5, 1943. It was issued for the first time in March 1943. It was not only awarded to Italian soldiers, but to German soldiers attached to the CSIR and the 8th Army Corps, too.
The ribbon banner on the front is marked FRONTE RUSSO (Russian Front). The pin on the back is attached, but the hook for the pin is missing. The markings on the back are still slightly legible F.M. LORIOLI. See pics for more details. The badge does show some age. Overall in very good condition.
