Original German WWII Heer NCO/EM Infantry Private Purchase Visor Cap Size 60-
We believe this cap to be a "private purchase" by the Enlisted Man/Non Commission Officer soldier it was issued to. The lining and wool appear to be an upgraded version of the typical EM cap with officer grade rayon/silk lining.
This nice saddle shape cap is constructed of officer grade fieldgray doeskin wool fabric and a dark green cloth band. The white piping signifies Infantry. There are a few tiny moth holes throughout.
The German Army eagle insignia and cockade with wreath are intact and show nicely, with normal aging. The leather chinstrap is complete and intact. The visor is solidly intact and maintains excellent shape.
The cap, inside, still retains the lining which shows minimal stains and age. The sweatband is nicely still attached and only has a few very small cracks. Has slight discoloration from use and hardly dry. The celluloid sweat shield is still present and is marked "Qualitats-Mutze.
Overall this cap is in excellent condition.
