Original German WWII Gebirgsjäger 1 Liter Canteen Without Cup- This type of canteen with this leather harness and metal clasp is for Gebirgsjäger (Mountain Troops). The medics 1 liter canteens have a hook in the back for easy dismount. The leather is some what dry and could use some conditioner. The strap that goes over the canteen cup is broken. The leather harness is not matching to the flask and cover. It is marked CFL37. The flask and felt cover is marked ESB41. The felt cover is does have some minor moth holes that are covered by the leather straps. Missing canteen cup. In good to very good condition.
