This authentic pre-war Luftwaffe belt buckle is crafted from aluminum, a material commonly used alongside brass and nickel silver. It features the early "Droop Tail" Luftwaffe eagle, embossed within a laurel wreath. This distinctive eagle design was only used on early Luftwaffe buckles before being replaced by a version with a more extended tail. The buckle has no date or manufacturer details.
The buckle is unmarked, with no visible date or manufacturer details. While the eagle’s details have softened over time, the pebbled background and laurel wreath remain well-defined. The reverse side retains a good amount of detail. The buckle has accumulated some dirt on both the front and back but remains in solid overall condition.
