This German WWII mess kit consists of a non-matching lid and bottom, with the lid marked "MN41" and the bottom "ESB33". Both pieces retain some of their original factory paint, which was later overpainted with ordnance tan camouflage. The paint has worn over time from use, revealing traces of the original finish underneath, indicating the camouflage was applied during wartime. The kit exhibits minor dings and scratches, consistent with field use, but remains in very good overall condition. A great addition for collectors seeking an authentic piece for a tropical display.
