This early-war Heer aluminum buckle retains a significant amount of detail, particularly the national eagle, which is still clearly visible despite wear. The front of the buckle has lost all of its fieldgray paint, showing signs of use, while the back side retains approximately 60% of its original factory-applied fieldgray finish. The buckle is unmarked, with no visible maker’s mark. It comes with a leather tab that displays wear and age, though the maker's name is not legible. However, the tab is clearly dated 1937. This piece is used but remains in very good condition, showcasing the distinctive features of a pre-war item.
