Original German WWII Early War 7x50 "Marsept" Binoculars By Leitz Wetzlar- These are early war civilian binoculars, but most likely used in the Wehrmacht. The optics are nice and clear, but does not come with the range finder (Strichplatte). The lenses are MgF2 coated, magnesium fluoride being the most effective as an anti-reflection coating of glass with higher refractive index. Serial number is 495585, which puts it around 1940. It is marked "Germany" in English for export purposes. These binoculars are quite rare and in great condition for their age. Very nice binoculars in very good to excellent condition.
