Description

Original German WWII M34 Square Dip Luftwaffe Fire Brigade Helmet, Unit Marked and Dated 1936 - This helmet features a complete leather liner with all split pins intact, albeit showing signs of age. Accompanied by what appears to be an original drawstring, the top of the liner padding bears a Unit marking and the date 1936. Despite one part of the four-point chin strap being broken and partially missing, the helmet retains its leather neck protection rear skirt, albeit with some mold that could potentially be cleaned off. The exterior showcases a considerable amount of the original black paint, with minor chips and scratches, along with a painted white band for visibility. The National Tri Colors decal remains approximately 30% intact, while the white faded Luftwaffe Eagle is about 5% preserved. Notably, the helmet originally featured three holes on the top for mounting a comb, which have been welded, indicating its use as a fire helmet. Overall, this helmet is in good to very good condition and retains its original intact leather liner and leather neck protection skirt, a rarity as these components are often missing.
