Original German WWII M42 Single Decal Luftwaffe Helmet NS62- This service-used M42 helmet, produced by Nickelwerke (NS), retains approximately 85% of its original Luftwaffe blue textured paint on both the exterior and interior. The outside shows minor surface rust on one side. All of the split pins still hold most of their factory-applied paint. The 2nd model Luftwaffe decal remains about 95% intact, with only minor scratches.The leather liner is dry but still supple and could benefit from conditioning or be left as-is. The original drawstring is missing, though the helmet retains parts of the original leather chinstrap, which are still attached to the liner bales.
Overall, this is an excellent example of a Luftwaffe M42 helmet, well-preserved and perfect for display.
