The leather liner, typical of late-war production, is mostly intact but slightly stiff. While the drawstring is missing, the leather itself remains in very good condition. The helmet retains its original chinstrap, which has dried somewhat over time. The chinstrap does not display any visible markings, though it’s possible any original stamps may have worn off.
On the inside of the rear skirt, the rank and name "Fw Müller" (Feldwebel Müller) are hand-painted in off-white over the dark green surface. This M42 helmet is in excellent condition overall, offering a distinctive piece of WWII history.
