Exhibiting minor signs of use, including rust spots and garage paint on the exterior of the Luftwaffe blue textured paint, it stands as a poignant artifact of wartime service.
The 2nd model Luftwaffe decal, remarkably retaining about 98% of its original presence, bears only minor chips, and aging to a golden yellow testifying to the passage of years and the helmet's historical journey.
Internally, the helmet retains a good amount of factory applied Luftwaffe gray/blue paint and there is a faint dome stamp. The leather liner is marked size 56, supple and remaining in good to very good condition with some wear and tear, preserving its integrity and comfort. Liner still retains original drawstring. Accompanied by a leather chinstrap, albeit with a broken section on the long end, this artifact exudes a tangible connection to its combat history.
