Original Third Reich Early Hitler Jugend Knife By Gebr. Bell- This is an early model 1933 Hitler Jugend knife by Gebr. Bell of Solingen. The blade features the acid-etched "Blut und Ehre!" motto, though part of the motto has been ground down. It is marked with "GB Gebr. Bell Solingen-Gr." and the patent mark "Ges. Geschützt." The blade tip comes to a point, fitting tightly. The brown leather buffer pad is missing. The black enamel-painted scabbard, which is likely a replacement, is in excellent condition and free of dents. The leather on the scabbard is dry, with some electrical tape at the top of the loop. The rivets are intact and the snap functions properly. The cast iron-based nickel-silver plated hilt retains over 85% of its plating, despite spots of oxidation/rust. The black checkered thin Bakelite grip plates are in place, with both solid nickel-silver rivets securely fastened. The medium HJ diamond retains all of its enamel. Good to very good condition.
