Unissued Original Third Reich SS Former Member of the Police Sleeve Diamond- This attractive and rare insignia was part of a series used to identify SS personnel who previously served in other NSDAP organizations. Constructed like a collar tab, it features a wreathed eagle and swastika BeVo woven in gray thread on a black rayon backing, wrapped around a tan buckram stiffener. The detailed BeVo machine weaving enhances its eye appeal. Measuring approximately 2-3/4 inches tall by 1-3/4 inches wide, it is in near mint, unissued, and unworn condition. This piece would be a standout addition to any SS or Polizei insignia collection, and it would be nearly impossible to find a better example.
