Description

Original German WWII Luftwaffe EM/NCO Flak Fliegerbluse Service Used - This blouse, made from Luftwaffe blue wool, has seen significant service during the war. It has small holes throughout, some of which have been period field repaired. The maker information and sizes are missing, likely worn away over time. The lining, tie tape tunnels, pocket bags, and belt hook support straps are made of grey ribbed cotton. Features include a steel hook and eye at the throat, an under-collar closure tab, a concealed front, slanted hip pockets with buttoned flaps, and cuffs with internal tightening straps. The breast eagle is a replacement and not original to the blouse. The collar tabs are hand-sewn, with the rank gulls' prongs penetrating the collar. The matching shoulder boards are piped in red rayon. The front closure buttons are black composite, while the collar liner, internal pocket, and cuff buttons are smaller versions of these. The hip pocket flap buttons are blue-painted 19mm pebbled grain. The left side inside pocket has been repaired. The blouse shows a good amount of wear and repairs, reflecting its service use, and remains in good condition overall as a wartime-worn field blouse.
