Original German WWII Heer Pioneer Unit Kriegserinnerungen (War Memories) Photo Album- This leatherette album cover features a silver Heer eagle separately applied in the top, left hand corner. The book is bound with twist cord and 2 tassels.

This photo album has 52 period photos of a Heer Pioneer Unit in France, making it a treasure-trove of images taken from the viewpoint of a young German Heer soldier. There are a total of 18 photo/card stock pages (12 pages empty, never used). Most of the photos are training and then wartime pontoon bridges being made for the invasion of France. Others are of rafts being used to cross rivers. On German ships being transported, inspecting washed up mines, captured or destroyed British or French airplanes, damaged German seaplane, a beach landing using rafts, blown up bridges and German Equipment being transported across newly made pioneer bridges, and soldiers hanging out. The album measures approximately 13" x 9.5". Considering the age of the album, it is in excellent, used condition. There are hardly any flaws.
