Original German WWII Heer M42 Tropical Artillery Blouse - This well-used M42 Tropical blouse features period zig-zag field repairs and holes on the back from wear. The tropical collar litzen is original to the blouse and machine-sewn. The collar has been period repaired with similar color and material. The breast eagle is original and nicely machine-sewn but not original to the blouse. It includes original tropical shoulder boards with red rayon piping, although there is some mothing underneath the field gray wool on one shoulder board. Inside, black ink size markings include B43 for the depot and the year 1943. All 19mm pebble grain buttons are original to the blouse and have S-hooks, with pressed paper buttons still present at the sleeve cuffs. This blouse likely saw service in Sicily and or the Italian front rather than North Africa. A good serviced used tropical field blouse in good condition.
