Original German WWII Luftwaffe NCO Flight/Paratrooper Mid/Late War Fliegerbluse Service Used- The blouse is a mid to late war Luftwaffe blue wool and has seen a good amount of service during the war and also due to poor storage. There are holes throughout with some being field repaired. There are size markings and a faint RB Number. The lining, pocket bags and belt hook support straps are of gray colored rayon, having a steel hook and eye at the throat, under collar closure tab, concealed front, slanted hip pockets with buttoned flaps, but does not have the cuffs with internal tightening straps. The breast eagle is factory machine sewn on. The collar tabs are machine sewn applied and the rank gulls' prongs penetrate through the collar. Nicely machine sewn on Luftwaffe silver tresse around the collar. Matching late war type shoulder boards are piped in yellow rayon piping. One of the shoulder board loops has come loose on one side from the threads coming apart and can be repaired. The front closure buttons are blue glass type with one black composite. The collar liner, internal pocket and cuff buttons are small glass buttons. The hip pocket flap buttons are blue painted 19mm pebbled grained. Comes with a War Merit ribbon that is original to the blouse. We believe the German soldier was an NCO rank of Unteroffizier and promoted to Oberfeldwebel, but never was able to sew on the extra tresse and pips to be added to the shoulder boards. Overall, a good piece of wartime worn fieldblouse in good condition.
