Original German WWII Luftwaffe M35 Double Decal Helmet ET64- This is a very nice double decal Luftwaffe M35 helmet featuring the 1st Model Luftwaffe snake leg decal. The Luftwaffe eagle decal is approximately 75% intact, while the Tri-Color decal retains about 90% of its original appearance. The helmet still has about 85% of its original factory Luftwaffe gray/blue paint on the exterior, with most of the wear concentrated at the top. There is minor surface rust and some scratches and wear throughout the helmet.
The helmet comes with a zinc liner band dated 1941, size 56, which appears original to the helmet. The wear and tear on the liner match the condition of the helmet, suggesting it could have been a replacement during the war. The leather liner is supple and has a last name inscribed in pencil on the side. The split pins are matching, appear original to the helmet, and have most of the paint worn off.
The original drawstring is not original to the helmet, which we added. The helmet does not come with a chinstrap. Overall, this is a well-used Luftwaffe double decal helmet in very good condition.
