Original German WWII Feuerschutz (Fireman’s) Dress Bayonet Long Model By Hörster-
This German WWII Feuerschutz Dress Bayonet, crafted by E.u.F. Hörster, is a fine example of period craftsmanship and remains in very good to excellent condition.
- Hilt and Cross Guard: The nickel-plated hilt and cross guard retain approximately 75% of their original finish, showing signs of age and some wear, particularly on the back side. The cross guard features the classic up-and-down quillon design.
- Grip Plates: The black checkered grip plates are in excellent condition, secured with steel rivets dressed on the obverse.
- Scabbard: The scabbard is straight and retains its original black anodized finish, which is exceptionally well-preserved at 99%, making it near mint.
- Blade: The long blade, with its traditional wide fuller construction, boasts a pristine nickel-plated finish and is in mint condition. The front side of the blade is stamped with the E.u.F. Hörster maker’s logo. The original black leather buffer is intact, adding to the bayonet's authenticity and appeal.
Its overall condition, combined with the well-preserved scabbard and mint blade, makes it a standout item.
