A rare and hard-to-find German WWII cavalry strap known as the “Halshalfterriemen.” This strap was part of the Zaumzeug 22 (Regulation Bridle) and was designed for use when the rider was dismounted. It was placed around the horse’s neck, threaded through the bridle, and attached to a lead rope.
This example is dated 194? and features a Waffenamt marking. Measuring approximately 188 cm in length, it remains in excellent overall condition with supple brown leather and intact stitching.
