Original German WWII Tan 6x30 Binoculars "ddx" By Voigtlaender u. Sohn AG With Bakelite Case- This is a late-war set of 6x30 binoculars manufactured by Voigtlaender u. Sohn AG, Braunschweig. The binoculars retain 85%-90% of their original factory-painted ordnance tan finish. They are marked with a blue triangle, indicating suitability for use in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 50°C, commonly used during 1943-1945, with a focus on 1944. The binoculars come with an original black leather neck strap and a rubber lens cover, both in excellent condition. The optics on the right and left sides are clear, but the right side adjustment is broken and does not focus. It appears that there is no rangefinder (Strichplatte) on the right side. The eye cups are made of brown Bakelite and remain undamaged. The accompanying black Bakelite case has minor damage, with the pressstoff pull tab, which is broken off, but still inside the case. The pressstoff loops are complete and has slight minor damage and one is stamped with a Waffenamt mark. The case remains in excellent overall condition, with the metal closure marked with a marker logo. Overall, this is a well-preserved set in very good to excellent condition.
