Original German WWII M40 Single Decal Luftwaffe Helmet SE64- This original German WWII M40 Single Decal Luftwaffe Helmet, produced by SE (Sächsische Emaillier- und Stanzwerke A.G., Lauter) and sized 64, bears the marks of its wartime service. Retaining approximately 75% of its original dark Luftwaffe blue textured paint, the helmet exhibits significant wear, surface rust, and paint loss at the top of the helmet
Notably, the 2nd model Luftwaffe decal appears to have been period removed or worn off, leaving behind only a faint ghost shadow where the eagle once stood.
Internally, the helmet boasts a used leather liner in very good condition, with the size marking worn off due to age and dust covering the liner band marking. The helmet retains its original drawstring.
Comes with the original small part of the leather chinstrap with buckle, though the long part is missing. Despite these imperfections, the helmet remains in good to very good condition and displays well.
